Synopsis

Inspirada en la vida real de Klaas Bruinsma y su viaje de hippie de Ámsterdam en 1970, para convertirse en el importador de drogas con más influencia de Holanda. Una historia de crímenes, lealtad y traición.

En los bajos fondos de Ámsterdam, traición y amistad son valores muy importantes. Sobretodo en el submundo de la droga.

Esta fue la principal razón por la que Bruinsma acabó arruinado.

Conocido como el padrino de Dutch, Bruinsma fue asesinado en 1984. Por su apariencia inusual y su moral manera de ser, pronto será apodado El Predicador.

Su lema fue: hacer negocios honestamente, sin terror ni violencia.

Un apasionante y oscuro drama psicológico dónde seguimos la vida de Bruinsma, su historia de amor con su esposa Annet y su lucha entre la vida y la muerte. En la escritura del guión, el director Gerrard Verhage se inspiró en el libro de "Dominee" de Bart Middelburg.
